Create an Account: You must create
an account in order to shop online with us. Click on the "Create Account" tab located in
the header and complete all the information required in the form. Click
the "Update my Account" tab at the bottom of the page. After
you have created an account, you will have to click on the "Ordering
Information" tab in the header to return to this page. If you already
have an account with us, please click on the "Login" tab.
If
you already know the titles you wish to order, you may use the quick
search tab located in the header or click on the "Advanced Search" tab.
If you would like
to browse for books, please click on the "Catalogue" Tab in
the header. From here you can browse our online catalogue by subject,
publisher, series name, and catalogue.

Add your books to your basket: Select
the desired binding from the drop down menu (paper, cloth, CD ROM, etc).
Please indicate the number of copies in the space provided and click
the
"Add" button. You will be directed to your shopping basket.
Please read and follow the directions for your shopping basket carefully.
When you are ready, click the "Continue Shopping" Tab at the
bottom of the page if you wish to add more titles. You will not be able
to add titles to your basket without creating an account or logging in.
Please note that if you wish to purchase cloth and paper copies of the
same title, you will have to add it to your basket twice.
3.
Submit Your Order: When you have completed shopping, review
your basket. Any time you make changes to your basket, you must click
the "Recalculate" tab.
When you are sure all the information is correct, click "Submit Order". Please note that once you have clicked this button your order has been
placed. Please make sure that your order is correct before submitting.
4.
Submit Billing Information: You will be directed to a page
to confirm your shipping and billing information and to submit your credit
card number. The billing information must be the name and address
of the person whose name is on the credit card you are using. If you
wish, you can select a different "ship to" address. Please
double check to make sure that your credit card number and expiry date
are correct.
5.
Confirm your Order: A screen will pop up with all of the order
information. Please double check to make sure that all information is
correct. If it is correct, click "yes". Your order number will
appear on the screen - please take note of this number for your records.
If changes need to be made, Click "no" and you will be returned
to your shopping basket.
6.
Wait for Confirmation: You
will receive an e-mail confirmation that your order was received by the
University of Toronto Press. This is a confirmation only. You will receive
a separate e-mail notification when your order has been shipped.

Rates may vary depending on weight, product, or destination. Please
be aware that additional shipping charges may apply, particularly on
international orders. If the cost of shipping varies from the standard
rate, U of T Bookstore will contact you to confirm actual rates before
shipping. You will not be charged any additional shipping fees without
your written or verbal consent.
Items on backorder will be treated as a separate order and will be subject
to shipping charges. If you do not wish to pay for shipping of backorders,
please consolidate your order-- this means that the bookstore will hold
your order until all items are in stock and ship the order as one package.
This option is available on the order confirmation page after check-out.
Shipping within Canada:
The bookstore uses Expedited Parcel to ship packages to residences in
Canada to ensure safe and timely delivery. Please allow 3-4 business
days for shipping. There may be exceptions during our peak period in
September and over the Christmas holidays. For security reasons, someone
must be present to sign for the package when it arrives. We cannot leave
packages in mailboxes without a signature. In the event that delivery
is attempted and there is no one there to sign, the package will be forwarded
to your nearest post office for pick-up. If you have not received your
package within one week of receiving the order shipped notification (NOT
placing the order), please check with your nearest post office. If it
is not there, please notify us at specialorders@uoftbookstore.com and
we will trace your order.
The bookstore only uses Purolator Courier to ship packages to businesses
in Canada. Please allow 1-2 business days for shipping.
U.S.A.
Please allow 5-7 business days for shipping in the continental United
States. There may be exceptions during our peak period in September and
over the Christmas holidays. Packages are shipped by DHL International
Courier and require a signature upon delivery. If no one is home to sign
for the package, it will be sent to the nearest DHL depot and you will
be contacted to arrange re-delivery or pick-up. If you have not received
your package within two weeks of receiving the order shipped notification
(NOT placing the order), please contact us at specialorders@uoftbookstore.com
and we will trace your order. Any applicable duties and taxes are the
responsibility of the receiver.
International Shipping
Please allow 5-10 business days for international shipping. There may
be exceptions during our peak period in September and over the Christmas
holidays. Packages are shipped by DHL International Courier and require

it will be sent to the nearest DHL depot and you will be contacted to

so the courier can contact you if there are any problems with delivery.

Payment
and Returns Policies
The University of
Toronto Press online store (www.utppublishing.com) accepts the following
forms of payment:

If you wish to place
an order and pay by cheque or money order, please contact our Customer
Order Department directly or use the fax order forms.
Please makes cheques and/or money orders paybale to The University of
Toronto Press.
If you wish to place
an order and pay by account, please contact our Customer
Order Department directly.
Institutional purchase orders are accepted.
Returns Policy:
We will gladly provide
refunds for most items returned to us if:
- goods are in original
condition (shrink-wrapped packages must be unopened); items damaged
during the return shipment will not be accepted.
- we recommend that
packages be sent using a traceable shipping method (i.e. Purolator
Courier or Priority Post). We will not accept responsibility for items
lost while being returned to us.
- the return is
postmarked within 14 calendar days from the original purchase.
- original
shipping charges will not be refunded, unless the return is due to
an error in order processing or shipping by the University of Toronto
Bookstore or the product is defective.
